Illustrated lectures/talks
We can present illustrated lectures/talks on the local archaeology and the various finds that have been excavated recently or over many decades in the region. A selection of finds ranging from the prehistoric to the twentieth century is used to support the lectures/talks where a hands-on approach is welcomed.
Finds Assessments/reports
Our staff are experienced in completing assessments/reports on assemblages comprising a variety of material types, meeting MAP2 specifications. We have close affiliations with specialists within the range of fields relating to particular artefact analysis. We can also advise on the requirements for the curation, storage and archiving of assemblages to the relevant museum standards.
Brick and tile assessments/reports
Since 1999 the Consultancy has undertaken brick and tile reports and publications for all periods. Assessments have been carried out to MAP2 specifications. Staff are professionals who have studied and practised their specialist areas for a considerable number of years and have helped to create local medieval and Romano-British ceramic building material typologies.
Finds identification
We can undertake the identification of a range of artefacts, be they from your garden or an excavation. We can advise on the appropriate procedures following identification, including allowing for the notification of the relevant museum or Sites and Monuments Records office.
